Tim Peake VR Experience
Problem:
The UK STEM sector faced a shortage of trained workers, with only 15% of scientists coming from lower-income backgrounds.
Insight:
To make science accessible and exciting, we needed to meet students where they were, allowing them to step into the shoes of a future career
Solution:
Partnering with Samsung with the Science Museum to create a mobile, immersive experience replicating the International Space Station. Designed an interactive touring experience featuring space games, chemistry experiments, AR spacewalks, and a VR experience of Tim Peake’s descent in the Soyuz capsule.
The experience was housed on a double-decker bus, which travelled across the UK, making science exciting and accessible to all.
Results:
60+ school visits
50,000 students inspired
1,000,000 museum visitors engaged
4,000,000 taken to space and back
Nationwide reach of 150 million people
